The third stage is in Holstenshuus.
Holstenshuus estate is located in the beautiful undulating countryside northeast of Faaborg and covers approximately 850 hectares. The history of the estate goes 700 years back in time. For the last 300 years, the estate has belonged to the same family and has basically had the same vision throughout the years: To cultivate and care for the earth, the nature and the recreational values, to the benefit of both present and future generations.
The park of Holstenshuus was laid out as a rococo garden in 1753. From 2008 to 2010 it was completely renovated with support from the Realdania Fund, giving it an incredibly beautiful and well-kept appearance. The park has since been opened to the public against a modest admission fee.
In the forest area just north of the manor a climbing park was opened in 2011, where individuals and companies can spend a day climbing in the trees. This activity is highly recommended if you have some spare time between the races.
Holstenshuus forest is a hilly, mixed forest, which still has traces of the storm in 1999. The event site is located close to the manor, garden and climbing park. The latest race in Holstenshuus was in 2008.
